I know purchases paid with gift certtificates don't get points, but is it the entire purchase or just portion paid with gift certificate. Say I bought $200 product and used $20 gift certificate, does it mean I don't get points on the entire purchase or just not on the gift certificate portion meaning I get credit for $180? Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi, tbonephile,
That's a great question! Any pre-tax portion of a purchase paid for using gift cards or reward certificates won't qualify for points; however, any other pre-tax portion should qualify for points, as long as an eligible form of payment is used (cash, credit, debit, check). Your example is spot on. If a purchase had a pre-tax total of $200 and you paid with a $20 gift card or reward certificate and a credit card, the $180 applied to the credit card should qualify for points. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Best Wishes,
