Points not received outside of BestBuy purchases

I opened a bestbuy account last November and spent about $1500 on purchases in BestBuy.com and another $1500 in purchases elsewhere (outside of bestbuy). Althouh I have received points for my BestBuy purchases, I have not received any points for purchases made elsewhere - rewards history shows that. I have called the customer care service several time and they have moved me from reps to reps without any clear answers as to why that's happening.

Welcome to our forums.  One of the many benefits to the My Best Buy® Credit Card is being rewarded for your purchases outside of Best Buy, so I completely understand why you’d want to make sure you’re not missing out on any points for your purchases.

 

Typically, these points should post once a month, shortly after your statement due date, and then visible within the “Rewards History” of your My Best Buy® account.  If you’re still not seeing these points reflecting on your end, feel free to send me a private message with the following information:

 

  • Your first and last name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Your Member ID

 

This should be enough information for me to review your account further, and make sure you’re getting the correct amount of points for your purchases.  To send me this information privately, be sure to use the blue “Private Message” button in my signature.
