Please cash out my gift cards

I have spent quite a bit of time amassing rewards and cashing them out in a Best Buy gift card format… I’ve been a loyal Best Buy customer for over a decade I have multiple geek squad account appliances etc. and my family has multiple Best Buy credit cards… However the inconvenience of not being able to use a $10 gift card on a digital purchase on the website precludes you from purchasing anything of value with said giftcard that EXPIRES! I cannot find anywhere this info was pre-disclosed prior to choosing to have my rewards issued into gift cards especially not knowing What Best Buy defined as a “specialty item”. And I can’t seem to find any way to contact anyone about this. Can someone please reach out?

Re: Please cash out my gift cards

Hey, enu22,

Thanks for reaching out to us on the Forums! I am sorry to hear that you are not able to use your gift card. Gift cards cannot be used to purchase goods or services that require recurring fees, such as third party gift cards, and a lot of digital subscription services.

Best Buy gift cards generally do not have expiration dates, so it sounds like you may be referring to a certificate? I'd be happy to take a closer look into this and see how I can help out. Please send us a private message with your full name, email, phone number, and the product you are trying to purchase with your certificate.

Best,
