No rewards on first day purchase for a new credit cardmember - Extremely disappointed!!!

I purchased an Apple Product at the end of the year and of course was offered to sign up for a best buy credit. Since it was a significant purchase, I figured why not. I was given a brochure that clearly states "Apply today and get 10% back in rewards on first day of purchases for new Best Buy Credit Cardmembers." I was also asked by the sales associate which option do I want - the financing or the 10% back. I said 10% back. I paid my bill in full and waited a few months and I did not receive any rewards or points back. I contacted an agent through a chat and was told that the rewards don't apply to Apple products. So why do you offer your customers to apply for a credit card if you know that they will not be receiving any rewards on their first purchase? This was not made clear to me at all so I feel like I was fooled and signed up for this credit card and have not received anything in return. I am extremely disappointed and if this is true I feel like I was misled. I would not have signed up for that credit card if I had known this.

As a My Best Buy member, I know that getting 10% back on your first purchase is a great deal. If I were in your shoes I would want to make sure these were correctly added to my account. I'd be glad to take a closer look into this and provide some additional details. 


My Best Buy members can accrue points when purchasing Apple products when making a purchase using the standard financing option. Based on your post it sounds like that's the selection you made. Is that correct? If so, you should have received these points.
