Never recieved any points for a $1800 purchase!

I purchased a laptop about a year ago, I never received any points and at first thought that maybe they wouldn't be issued until I paid off my purchase? I wasn't concerned at that time because I was told that my points wouldn't expire... but now that I'm ready to make another large purchase, and my laptop has been paid off for some time now... still no points, and I'm reading all kinds of other people basically being told too bad so sad. I looked on my account and found the purchase, it just straight up says 0 points issued.... WHY?! That's like $100 I'm getting screwed out of and it makes me think twice about buying my new laptop and nintendo switch from best buy

Welcome to the forum and thank you for choosing to purchase a laptop with us! Purchasing a laptop can be quite the investment, so I can understand why you would be eager to receive the rewards from this purchase. I would like to clarify some parts of our My Best Buy program though, as it seems there may have been some details missed. 

While points don't expire on active accounts (having activity in a 12 month period), they are typically automatically converted to reward certificates, which do expire, usually after 60 days. It doesn't sound like this would have been your experience though, as you mention seeing no points at all post. There are a few payment types that do not qualify for points, such as gift cards, reward certificates, and our Best Buy Credit Card, when choosing a financing option. When paying with a Best Buy Credit Card, you would either receive points or financing but not both. For more details on this, you may wish to review our My Best Buy Terms
