I have a $30 rewards certificate that expired two days ago. I never used it because I did not know that it was auto-issued. I did not manually issue the gift certificate. What happens to the points that were used to issue the gift certificate? I'm worried that all those points are lost forever.

Good morning, EddiC,
Welcome back to our forums, and thank you for reaching out to us about your My Best Buy™ membership.
I’ve missed out on redeeming coupons and taking advantage of special offers in the past, and I know how disappointing it can feel. So you’re aware, My Best Buy™ members are not able to bank their points and issue certificates at their discretion until they reach Elite or Elite Plus status in the program. Until that happens, you would need to change your account settings on BestBuy.com so that certificates will be automatically issued in certain increments once your point balance reaches that threshold. While you should receive automated emails from us whenever a certificate is issued or about to expire, some emails may be overlooked, hidden, or blocked by spam filters altogether. For that reason, we recommend checking your account status directly on BestBuy.com.
Once a certificate has been issued, it is usually valid for 60 days unless otherwise noted on the certificate itself. Generally speaking, we cannot reissue certificates once they have expired. With all that being said, I’d be happy to review your account in more detail to ensure you’re set up for success moving forward. I would just need for you to first send me a private message that includes the below information.
To send me a private message, just click on the blue button in my signature below labeled “Private Message”.
I look forward to hearing from you.
