My Best Buy account was used by someone in-store

My Best Buy account was used by someone in-store yesterday. They used their own credit card, but they used my Best Buy account. It was an in-store purchase in a different city. The stuff they bought are listed in "My Purchases" in my account.

I'm relieved that they didn't use my Best Buy credit card, but I don't feel safe. I looked at the receipt and the receipt has my name and member ID on it. I'm also not sure how they used my account. Phone number? If so, then that means they know three things about me.

I'm not sure what course of action I should take. It was a in-person purchase, so I don't know if changing my password would do anything. And, I really don't want to change my actual phone number.

Anyone know what do in this situation?

Re: My Best Buy account was used by someone in-store

Good morning, zima.

With so many imposters out there, I would be concerned as well.  It could have been something as simple as an email address similar that was typed in incorrectly.   Would you mind sending me a private message with your full name, email address, and phone number so I can properly look into this for you. You should be able to do so by clicking the blue button next to my signature.

Thanks,
