Hello, i had made a purchase back on the 8th of February. however the points seemed to never been added to my account. also when i attempted to report the points as missing it notifies me that the purchase has already been added to an account. any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

You may have solved your own mystery of the missing points. If while trying to report the purchase as missing our system says it is already attached to a rewards account, then it could be that you have more than one rewards account. Do you have the receipt? Double check the rewards ID on the receipt to the rewards ID when you login on BestBuy.com. If they are different, then you likely have more than one rewards account.
That is an easy fix though. We would just want to merge the two rewards accounts, which shouldn't be a problem if they share the same information. Any points or certificates in the secondary rewards account would transfer over to the primary rewards account following the merge. Hey there, thanks for the reply! it didn't even occur to me the possibility of having two separate member id's. i have successfully transferred the account using the option under account security. the points are now appearing on the primary account.

The "Use a Different Member ID" option on BestBuy.com will only help you link a different rewards account to your BestBuy.com account if you happen to have multiple rewards accounts. It doesn't actually solve the issue of you having multiple rewards accounts, which leaves open the opportunity for future purchases to be attached to the wrong rewards account. I would still suggest we consider a merge if you do have multiple rewards accounts. If you would like to see about having a merge processed, then I would just need you to send a private message with the information mentioned above.
