Good afternoon -
On September 29, 2019, I made a purchase in-store using my Best Buy credit card. The purchase was for $1959.49, and the electronic receipt is visible on my credit card online account details. I never received any reward points for this transaction. However, the following day, I exchanged an item purchased in the wrong size for the correct item, and I received 44 points on that transaction, but never for the original large purchase. When I go to report missing points online, the website keep saying there is an error, and I cannot complete the request. I've also tried calling through the automated system, and the system said my points had been credited to another account. I don't have another account, and I can see the receipt on MY account, but the points show "0".
Can someone please help me rectify this situation? I should've received a significant amount of reward certificates for that purchase, and yet, I received nothing, and that's extremely frustrating. I've tried online chat, and it's not available. I've called the Best Buy customer service number twice now, and have been on hold for over 45 minutes before giving up. I would like some answers and a resolution.
Thank you in advance.

Hi there, SheaEaves,
Welcome to the forum, and thank you for connecting with us regarding your purchase from last September. With a larger purchase, I'm sure you were eager to enjoy the purchase, but also the rewards received from it. I can imagine your surprise though if you saw this post as zero points, but an exchange afterwards awarded some.
Under our My Best Buy Terms, there are some purchases that wouldn't quality for points. These include portions of purchases paid for by Best Buy gift card, reward certificates, Apple products, or when you select financing when paying with a My Best Buy Credit Card, to name a few. Should your purchase not seem to fall into any of these categories to explain why no points were awarded, please feel welcome to reach out and I'll be delighted to dig further into this with you.
