I placed an order on September 15th and canceled almost immediately after I realized I forgot to apply a gift card. I've called into customer service a few times to try to get the certificates refunded, but have had no luck so far.

You should get a second opportunity to use the points that help create a non-bonus certificate if the certificate was applied to an order that ended up getting cancelled. I'd hate to not be able to fully redeem one of my own certificates simply because I changed my mind, or in your case had a gift card I forgot to use, and would hate for another member to lose out on the same. As you may read in similar forum posts, it can generally take up to three days for a non-bonus certificates point value to repost to a member's reward account following a return or cancellation.
If it has been more than three days since your order was cancelled and the certificates point value hasn't reposted to your rewards account, then feel free to send me a private message and I'll review your rewards account to ensure it is up-to-date. A private message can be sent by clicking on the blue button in my signature, and please make sure to include your name, phone number, and email address.
