I have been trying to go through the normal channels to get the refund of my certificates but I seem to be getting farther away from resolution.
After getting disconnected from chat for hours and going through the same thing over and over. I got a case ID... After a few days, I jumped on chat because the time frame they said for resolution went past, and I got disconnected again.
I decided to call in to get support, and after getting transferred around and listening to hold music for way too long, I got to talk to a very nice person *heavy sarcasm* named Cesar. After trying to get an update on the current case, he came back and gave me a new case number and a very long wait time.
I was hoping to get help and get a straight answer on what case is legitimate and what I need to do to get my certificates back.
Thanks,
Rob

Hi there, Rob,
Welcome to the forum, and thank you for reaching out regarding your My Best Buy certificate refund. When you receive a refund for an item, typically certificates can be seen in just a few days. An exception to this would be promotional certificates, which are identified based on their lack of point value and typically a shorter redemption period. Promotional certificates are usually intended to be one-time use, and are not credited back. For more information, you may want to check out the post below.
Return or Cancellation - Where is my reward certificate?
When you connect with our phone support, we may be able to identify a case and give you an update on it, but it is possible that we would also document that interaction in a new case, which could explain why you were provided with another case number. I would be happy to check in on your certificate refund for you, but would require a few details from you. Would you mind using the link in my signature below to send a private message with your name, phone number, and email address?
Sincerely,
