Thank you for your reply. I sent a private message to you with my information but want to report I am quite frustrated with the lack of clarity on how this special 10% points offer works. I tried calling Best Buy Customer Service and chatting on the website, and I have received several different answers on how the special offer with my opening of a new credit card works.
It is worth noting that none of the associates in the store were able to explain this to me clearly either, in spite of signs/flyers being posted around the store showing this offer. I have been told that the points only apply to the first transaction, which is not accurate according to the text below.
Below is directly from the best buy website. I selected standard credit with my purchase, and yet at the time I'm writing this, 15 days after my purchase, there is no indication I have any more than 5% of the points available to me.
*Get 2.5 points per $1 spent (5% back in rewards) on qualifying Best Buy® purchases when you choose Standard Credit with your Best Buy Credit Card. If you apply and are approved for a new My Best Buy® Credit Card, your first day of purchases on the Credit Card using Standard Credit within the first 14 days of account opening will get an additional 2.5 bonus points (an additional 5% back in rewards, for a total of 10%).
Any help you can provide in terms of clarification would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
