Welcome to our community forums. Having gone through my fair share of email addresses over the years, I know that it can be easier than you may think to create multiple My Best Buy accounts. I'd be glad to provide some details on how this process works and how I can help.

 

When merging My Best Buy accounts, any secondary rewards accounts are closed with any active points and certificates being transferred over to the primary rewards account. In order to get this process started, I will need to gather a bit more information. I'll be sending you a private message shortly to get these details.

Multiple MyBBY Accounts (Merger Issue)

Hi,

 

I have spoken with (18004335778) several times. Unfortunately, I am still having an issue. I have multiple MyBBY accounts under my information. I called the other day and spoke with someone about unrelated issues and they noticed the multiple accounts. They said they could merge them, and I said that was fine. Now, I still have multiple MyBBY accounts under my name, but BBY.com and the BBY App do not reflect the correct information. Both BBY.com and the BBY App show the purchase history, but under the "Protection Plans" section, it only lists ONE protection plan. I have about 160 various plans on my account (some active/inactive) so this can understandably cause some issues for me.

 

I am hoping someone can help me get this sorted out and fixed. 

 

The correct info for my account should be under the following information.

 

Name - Joseph {removed per forum guidelines}

Phone - {removed per forum guidelines}

Email - {removed per forum guidelines}

 

The purchase history should go back over 5+ years and the Protection Plans should reflect 150+ plans or more.

 

Accounts that I *think* are all active under my info end in 9332, 1745, and 2664.

 

Account information for me may also be present under the outdated following info:

 

Phone - {removed per forum guidelines}

Email - {removed per forum guidelines}

 

The original account that hosted most of the accurate info was under 1745.

BestBuy Account Merge

I have been waiting about 3 months for my accounts to be merged. I have called multiple times and sometimes employees just blatantly hang up on me. This feels like it is more difficult then it should be, is there anyway I can know if it's actually wokring? I have explained my situations so many times now when I call, I don't even think they tried. I need help.

Having accidently ended up with multiple My Best Buy accounts in the past, I know it can be more confusing than necessary to keep track of your points and certificates. I appreciate you letting us know about your experience so far and would be glad to see if I can be of any assistance.

 

Generally, you won't see too many changes once a merge has been completed. During this process, any secondary accounts are closed and your My Best Buy points and certificates will be transferred to the remaining account. If you'd like, I can review your case history to make sure this was completed.

I'm having the same issue. I have two account numbers under the same email and in one account I'm Elite. When I log on I don't see that I'm Elite, but I received an email saying that I was.
