Ouch, I have a store line of credit and had well met Elite Plus for years with my purchases for work and personal. The loss of the extra rewards, larger return window, and expedited shipping options stings. I now have next to no incentive to shop Best Buy over other stores.
To be fair, I will still shop some items, but no longer exclusively for many at Best Buy. 5% back at Target, and the huge selection at Micro Center and my local camera store, both roughly the same distance away, is a lot more appealing now. Just want to be sure I voice this so hopefully it gets recorded and Best Buy can bring out a plan to make them rank above than other stores again.

Well said. I too have been a loyal customer and an Elite Member for many many years. BB's elimination of Elite & Elite Plus and proposed replacement of customer benefits via their Best Buy Total Tech is at best disappointing (to be honest, it's really just an arrogant "slap in the face"). BB has truly lost touch with their dedicated customer base and are now just another buying option in a crowded market. Sad.

Best Buy had enlisted the help of Retail Equation. A service that would keep track of customer returns and if there was a pattern of abuse present, they would be warned for returning and even banned. I am not sure if this policy is still in effect but customers complained of this policy, one of the reasons is the sharing of personal information and so forth.
So if it's no longer in effect you can thank the people who complained about the return policy.

Never would shop at bestbuy until Elite and Elite Plus come around....Now after them secretly removing the program I am moving all my shopping elsewhere. Odd to be cutting rewards program on high spend customers! Lets upset our big spenders! I just ordered last item from bestbuy after seeing the ripoff charges for shipping a 18 dollar item with an 8 dollar shipping charge!!!! LOL OK BestBuy will be going the same place as the old CircuitCity!
