Hey Best Buy Support crew,
I'm aware of the recent change to the My Best Buy Rewards Program involving Apple purchases. (Points not earned without purchasing on Best Buy Credit Card.)
However, I just want to make sure I have the proper amount correct.
Now I know that points are earned differently based on membership level, with 1% back for members, 2% back for elite members and 2.5% back for elite members.
In addition, bonuses are earned on top of this for using a credit card. An additional 4% is stacked on the 1% for members, and additional 3% stacked for elite plus members, and an additional 4.5% stacked for elite plus members.
So here's my question: For Apple purchases made with a credit card, would I earn the full 5% or 6% back respectively based on membership level or am I looking at only the 4%, 3%, or 4.5% "bonus" back instead, omitting the base level points earned?

Thank you for once again stopping by the Best Buy forum.
As it appears you are aware, an update was made to the terms of our rewards program stating that any purchase of an Apple product won't qualify for points unless a My Best Buy credit card is used with standard financing. That update went into place back in October 2019. If you were to use a My Best Buy credit card with standard financing, then you would be eligible for either 5% back or 6% back in points based on your tier status. Our members with core/standard and Elite status can earn 5% back (2.5 points for every $1 pre-tax) with our Elite Plus members earning 6% back (3 points for every $1 pre-tax) in points
For example, let's say you were to purchase an Apple iPad with a pre-tax total of $800. If you had Elite Plus status and used a My Best Buy credit card with standard financing, then you would receive about 2,400 points. Without Elite Plus status, you would receive about 2,000 points. Let us know if you have any other questions.
