I had issues logging in with my one email address for the store website. I called and they said I had a second address linked to it also. I used that weeks ago and all was good.
Logged in the other day and saw something about linked accounts. Unfortunately I didn't read closely and just thought it was merging something but figured it was all good since I've had no problems.
Now I got an email that says "thanks for signing up" and when I log into the store website with the email I've been using, all my purchase history is gone. It thinks its a new account. Why????

I logged in to BestBuy.com to look at my service plans on Sept 8th and noticed that all of my order history is missing, my Elite Plus for rewards is missing, and none of my service plans are showing up. For all intensive purposes it looks like my account is brand new even though I've had it for years. On top of that I got an email asking to activate my best buy account.

With the ultimate goal of improving the member experience, we’ve embarked on a journey to identify data related issues that might be a source of headache, and one issue we’ve addressed is making sure a rewards ID is only linked to one BestBuy.com account. It’s intended for a rewards ID to be used by one member, and while a rewards ID should only be linked to one BestBuy.com accounts, there had been occasions where a rewards ID might get linked to multiple BestBuy.com accounts.
For those rewards IDs that were linked to more than one BestBuy.com account, after determining which BestBuy.com account was the primary, we delinked them from all secondary BestBuy.com accounts. If a member logs into the secondary BestBuy.com account after the rewards ID has been delinked, then it will result in a new rewards ID being created, which is why it appears as if points, certificates, tier status, and history are missing. Although you may be actively using one BestBuy.com account, we may have made the determination that another you own to be the primary due to how the account was updated. We can assure you the prior rewards ID is still active though.
With that having been said, all we should need to do is process a quick merge. Any active points, certificates, tier status, total spend, and history should transfer over following the merge. You can find more details about the merge process, including the details we’ll need in a private message, here.

I had a merge account done by the staff on this site. Everything is now there except the receipts for all the purchases.
Record of purchases is there.. Eternal sign in to try to view receipts.
I am sure a master print out of all purchases will be good enough and expect BB in the store and on-line to have the complete records.
Did not realize there was more than one account!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have used the same account for years but did not realize there were two rewards account numbers.
Word to the wise, print out your master purchase list when everything is back in view. I have several extended warranties that I will need proof.
On the bright side I have never used an extended warranty. Good electronics will last past the first year.
