Good afternoon, akcardenas,
Thank you for taking the time to connect with us on the forum!
I've been a member of our rewards program for many years and still get a big kick out of redeeming certificates, and I've also lost certificates to expiration dates with each one feeling like a missed opportunity. It doesn't matter if a reward certificate is valued at $5 or $100, as any amount of money we can keep in our pocket is a good feeling. An everyday certificate comprised of the points you are awarded will generally be valid for a period of 60 days. If a certificate was issued back in Dec. 2019, then it likely expired sometime in Feb. 2020, which would have been prior to a lot of the COVID-19 lockdowns.
The easiest way when logged into your rewards account to tell if a certificate was redeemed or not is to check your rewards history. Did you make any purchases within a couple months after the certificate was issued? If so, click on the purchase details to see if a certificate was applied or not. I'd be more than happy to review your rewards account to see if the certificate was redeemed or if it expired. Just send me a private message with the details listed below, by clicking on the blue button in my signature, and I'll see what I can find out.
