We bought $8000+ products during last Thanksgiving. The sales manager told us we could get 10% rewards back if signing up best buy credit card. Then we signed up one for the rewards. He told us the rewards would only be availabe after about one and half months so we took it for granted. We paid off the credit card balance immediately. Then we waited for more than two months but the rewards are still not there. We called and they replied we have opted for interest-free finance but not rewards. And since it has passed certain amount of time (15 days?), there is no return. They kicked us over to the credit card company for a change from financing to rewards, and since it also has passed 15 days, there is no change.
When we signed up, noone in the credit card department has told us there is another option and the two options are mutually exclusive. They pushed us to sign up the wrong option in a hurry. When we told them the situation now, they refuse to correct the issue. They even hang up on us. We are very dissappointed and angry. I don't believe a large comany as Best Buy even use this type of trick to earn a few hundreds dollars.
Best buy = LIAR.

Combined with our Best Buy Credit Card, whether you chose financing or My Best Buy rewards points, I'm sure you were quite excited for this purchase.
Based on the time frame given for points, it sounds like you made a Magnolia purchase. Magnolia Home Theater purchases can take closer to 30 days, rather than the usual 15-20 days, to post. With that said, under our My Best Buy Terms, if financing is chosen when paying with a Best Buy Credit Card, the purchase would not qualify for points. We do our best to make this clear to our customers, even on our Credit Cards page for those shopping online, and I apologize if it wasn't clear during your purchase in store.
Once a purchase is complete and beyond the Return & Exchange Promise, we would not have any recourse to modify this option, and would not be able to award points for a purchase in which financing is chosen.
