I need to delete my account

I have tried everything on your website to get my ex-wife's name off my account but nothing works, so I just want it deleted.  I even tried to create a new id, but all that did was force me to lose all of my points :/

 

Please tell me how to proceed.

Greetings Matt, and welcome to the Best Buy forum!

 

I wouldn't want to see my ex-wife's name every time I login to my rewards account either, and in-fact, I try to avoid all aspects of that part of my past if I can help it.  A rewards account can be cancelled; however, if the rewards account in-question is in your wife's name, then only she can make that request.  You mentioned having created a new rewards account, so we may just need to make sure the details tied to your BestBuy.com account are up-to-date and link the new rewards account to it.  Please send me a private message with the details listed below, and I'll take a closer look at the rewards account to see what options are available.  A private message can be sent by clicking on the blue button found in my signature.
