i went to the store yesterday and spent nearly $250 bucks and i was just looking at my account and part of it is right it says i got 582 points pending that part is right but i'm currently Elite at least for this year anyways, and this is the 1st time i've spent really any money at any best buys store since the pandemic so my account was $0 but in the bar where it shows you how much you have spent and how far you have to go it says i've only spent $57 bucks
i didn't usei any reward certificates at all the last time i did was in Decemeber or Jan. so can someone please look into that? i just looked my reciept and it was $248 bucks i spent. thanks for your help

Welcome to the forum, and thank you for reaching out regarding your spending bar for your My Best Buy membership. It sounds like your recent purchase is pending on your account appropriately, but has you questioning the spending bar.
Please know that your spending bar is reset every calendar year, so any purchases made prior to Jan. 1 wouldn't appear. Just as it takes points 15-20 days to post, it will take the same amount of time for your purchase to reflect in your spending bar. Should you not see this reflected in your spending bar once your purchase posts, please don't hesitate to reach back out, and we'll be delighted to take a closer look at your rewards with you!

oh i know that it resets, i've been using Rewards since i want to say (2005) and the points isn't the question i had,
my spending bar is, it was at 0 so i had spent nothing at all this year until i went to the store this past Friday so my spending bar should be how on much money i spent there. i didn't spent $57 bucks there i spent nearly $250 i think it was my bar should say how much i spent that's all i'm saying thanks for your help

1stly my apologies on one thing, i wrote that at like 5 am this morning or 4 am one or the other, i meant to say is that i did spend those $57 bucks but what i meant to say is that i spent more than $57 bucks at best buys like i said it was
i think $248 bucks so the bar should be longer than just have it at $57 bucks.

I'm glad to hear you're not questioning the $57 that you are seeing in your spending bar. As I mentioned already, your spending bar wouldn't reflect your latest purchase until it posts, which is typically 15-20 days. At this time, do you have any other remaining concerns?

the thing is, i can come home after like an hr or so and it says how much i spent and what i bought and the bar is normally however much money i spent, the points though are the ones that take 15-20 days and that's fine for the points. it's the bar itself that still says $57 bucks, i spent $248.64 cents and the bar doesn't say that at all it just says i spent only $57 dollars and that's why i said anything at all.

did they change things this year? cause it's always been you go shopping in the store and an hr or two later
when you get home you can see your bar and it shows how much you spent and how much farther you are until you reach Elite. the points always take awhile and that's never really been a problem for me. but if that's so why would there only be $57 dollars be on it and not the whole sum?

Thanks for elaborating on your concern! While sometimes purchases can be reflected sooner than that 15-20-day time-frame, it's not usual for it to take that whole time-frame for the full purchase to be reflected in your spending bar.
However, I can understand why you'd be confused that $57 is already showing in your spending bar, but not the rest of the amount of your purchase. I'd be happy to take a look at your account to see if it's just pending to post of if something went wrong. sorry i didn't get back to you sooner i decided to give it some time like you suggested and it's now gone up thank you tohugh for all your help. my other reason is i just got distracted watching a bunch of movies lately
