Hi there,
I have been accumulating rewards certificates for years in anticipation of an emergency situation. That emergency situation arrived and I'm discovering that the certificates were all issued on the same day with no notification because my status changed from Elite to Core. I received no notification about any of this, despite having a valid email address and receiving sales information from Best Buy. Can someone help here?

I would appreciate it if someone from Best Buy can help me out here. This is a pretty serious issue.

Hello, jayk,
Thank you for being a My Best Buy member! Finding you’ve had a My Best Buy reward certificate expire would be most frustrating, especially if you were saving these, and unaware they were issued. I know if I let any slip by me, I feel like it’s quite the missed opportunity.
At the end of every February, My Best Buy tiers may expire if the required spending wasn't met the previous calendar year. Should a tier expire, your option to bank your points may no longer be extended to you, thus issuing reward certificates. Our My Best Buy Terms advise that certificates typically have 60 days to be redeemed, unless otherwise noted. Once expired, we’re generally unable to reissue them. We do our best to make our customers aware a certificate has been issued, as we send out email notifications that include the expiration date. As emails may be filtered, overlooked, or even blocked though, we recommend members manage their rewards from BestBuy.com, where certificates can be viewed as well. For more details, you may view the articles below.
