Welcome to the forum and thank you and your mom for both being My Best Buy members! Combining rewards from separate accounts would be wonderful in cases such as yours, where you and your mother are trying to be kind and purchase your brother a video game.
As it stands though, it is not currently possible. Per our My Best Buy Terms, memberships are intended for individual use. Furthermore, systematically speaking, only one member ID may be attached to a purchase. This would prevent rewards from two different memberships being used on the same purchase, and members from sharing rewards.
I know this may not be the news you were hoping for, but hope it clarifies your experience.
