How do I contact corporate for a complaint?

I need to email someone at corporate to let them know how disgusted I am with Best Buy and I am at the point where I do not think I will ever shop at Best Buy again.

 

For YEARS I have been a loyal customer reaching Elite status and in some cases even spending enough to get me to Elite Plus. Last year (during the pandemic) I spent $1,145 at Best Buy, just shy of $1,500 requirement. The entire time I was an Elite member I always banked all my points. I did not realize that I fell shy of the Elite membership this year in March when my acount switched back the the standard membership all the points I spent years saving where issued without my knowledge. Having seen that I went to make a purchase today and was going to see if my points could be reissued. As it turns out I have had points reissued back in 2017...4 years ago. According to the company policy Best Buy is now unable to reissue points. 

 

I was going to be purchasing the Asus Zephyrus (6448848) laptop in the coming months because I'm going back to school. I remodeled my house and will be purchasing new appliances and electronics as well (TV, fridge, washer, dryer, range, microwave, etc.). It seems like while I have been loyal to Best Buy, Best Buy is being cheap with me. This system is broken, I have been a loyal customer and I feel like I can't trust Best Buy any more. How can I contact corporate?

Good afternoon, mgpinho88, and welcome to the Best Buy forum,

 

The option to bank points is one of the main reasons I keep trying to reach Elite status each year, and while I may continue to fail year after year, the chance to one day have enough points saved up to buy a new TV without money coming out of my pocket keeps the dream alive.  My wife then ends up qualifying for Elite status and I'm left feeling very jealous.  At least I still have most of 2021 to reach $1,500.

 

Seeing as not having Elite status is new for you, let me break down what happens when Elite status expires.  As you know, you would need to spend $1,500 during the calendar year to requalify for Elite status.  If you were to not requalify by 12/31, then your status would expire at the end of February in the following calendar year. So, if you didn't requalify in 2020, then your Elite status would've expired back in February 2021.  Along with your status expiring, the option to bank points would expire, and any banked points in your rewards account would've been automatically converted into certificates down to the $5 level.

 

A certificate comprised of the points you're awarded will generally be valid for a period of 60 days unless noted otherwise, and if your certificates were issued back at the end of February, then they did likely expire a couple weeks ago.  I'd like to take a closer look at your rewards account to see if there are any questions I can help answer, so I'll be sending you a private message shortly.  You can read a private message by logging into the forum and clicking on the envelope icon at the top of the page.
