Fraud purchase using Best buy rewards certificates

[ Edited ]

Someone used my $295 rewards certificates and purchase Nintendo - Switch with Neon Blue in Best Buy #1436 10400 OWINGS MILLS BLVD OWINGS MILLS, MD 21117 store, receipt# {removed per forum guidelines}

I am from Michigan and someone made a fraud purchase in store in Maryland.

I have called twice to Best Buy customer service and raised the complaint but nothing happened. No resolution so far. Looking for your help in getting my rewards back to my account.

Please contact me if need any more info.

Re: Fraud purchase using Best buy rewards certificates

Hello, tejvalecha.

Thank you for being a member of the Community Forums! We appreciate you reaching out. Although, I certainly wish it were under happier circumstances. As a person who loves to save money by using My Best Buy Rewards Certificates, I can see how having someone else use your certificates is not a situation that you would hope to endure. I would be happy to take a look.

To get started, please use the blue button next to my signature to send me a Private Message. Please be sure to include your name, phone number, and email. Thanks!

All the best,

Re: Fraud purchase using Best buy rewards certificates

This has been happening for almost a year, and it's happening almost exclusively in Maryland. Best suggestion is never leave any points banked and see if you can talk to support to get your account locked from being able to change your information over the phone. It's what I was told to do by support.
