A couple of weeks ago I logged into my Best Buy account and was surprised to see that I had $130 in rewards certificates after a purchase of a Sony 4K TV. I found that interesting because I used to get an email notification when I had an award. What I failed to do at that time is look at the expiration date. So I went in today to print them out only to find they have apparently expired, which is not surprising due to the (IMHO) very short timeframes you're given to use these. I did not receive any kind of email notification that they were about to expire. I continue, though, to receive a relentless string of emails from Best Buy trying to sell me something. It seems like they are hoping you don't know you have these certificates and therefore don't ever use them.
I have been a long time Best Buy customer, but I find this extremely annoying. Looks like for most of my electronics purchases in the future I'll be looking elsewhere.
