Hello,

I received an email earlier today titled "[Name], exclusive offers just for being a Cardmember!" There are two offers included in the email:

1. Save now. Offer valid 8/24 - 8/30. Save 10% on a single, regularly priced item in select Best Buy stores or at BestBuy.com with your My Best Buy Visa Card. Coupon required.

2. Save later. Offer valid 8/31 - 9/7. Earn a $25 reward certificate when you spend $150 or more in select Best Buy stores, on BestBuy.com, or outside of Best Buy with your My Best Buy Visa Card. Activation required.

I was interested in offer #2, spend $150 outside of Best Buy for a $25 in rewards certificate. I clicked on Activate for offer 2 and was greeted with a message: "Thank you! Your offer has been activated. Remember to shop with your My Best Buy Credit Card for all your purchases at Best Buy." This message took me by surprise since it doesn't specicifically said "shop with your My Best Buy Credit Card outside of Best Buy" like it usually does when the offer is for outside purchase.

Can a mod confirm if offer 2 will work for purchases outside of Best Buy?

I'm familiar with the email you received as my wife received the same email, and my wife also has the My Best Buy™ Visa card.  I can confirm you should be able to use your Visa card inside Best Buy, on BestBuy.com, or outside Best Buy to qualify for the $25 bonus certificate.  The bonus should post to your rewards account within 4 weeks if you spend the required $150 by 9/7.  Let us know if you have any other questions.

I have a question on this one too.  Does the 150 have to be in one transaction at Best Buy?  I got the same email and i have two preorders that should ship on Friday that are ~80 each.  Those together should count correct?  I don't see anywhere in the T&Cs that say it have to be over 150 in a single purchase. Can you verify that? 

Also - I got the email for both my Best Buy CC and my Best Buy Visa.  It says 1 bonus 25 certificate per account.  Is that per CC account? or per Rewards account?  I activated the offer on both cards

From my experience based on previous similar offers, it does not have to be in one transaction. You just gotta spend at least $150 in that time period.

Both great questions!  I've confirmed with our My Best Buy team that the $150 can be spent over multiple purchases. Also, if you have both the My Best Buy credit card and My Best Buy Visa card, received an offer for both cards, successfully activated both offers and meet the terms for each, then you should be eligible for both bonus certificates.  The main component, outside of actually spending $150 with each credit card, is activating the offers. If you have already done that, then all that is left is to shop.
