If I'm reading the upcoming (effective 5/3/22) My Best Buy terms and conditions correctly, Best Buy appears to have reversed their previous decision to end the upper tiers and are now keeping them. I can't find any discussion online confirming this and Best Buy appears to have done this quietly with no email notification to members. They just updated the existing terms page. Can a Best Buy rep confirm this? If true, what are the main new differences between the current terms and the new terms?

I noticed that they finally removed the yearly spending tracker from the Rewards Overview page, but then they just added it back but now it's only showing the total spent, any reference of spending to earn another year of your rewards tier is gone.

This whole thing has been a mess so I'm not getting my hopes up.

It be nice if someone who works for best buy actually answered a question. This is supposed to be a forum.

Still haven't bought a thing from them since this news dropped and don't plan to.

So it looks like they are at least retaining Elite/Plus tiers for rewards points. The news terms ("Last Updated 5/3/22") still lists the points per dollar breakdown, and product pages are still showing free shipping and extended returns. Would be nice to have an official confirmation instead of having to make guesses about it though.

Looks like it's not. They changed the terms again and it's one tier now. We're all the same.

Section E on the new terms ("Receiving Points") still shows the points percentage breakdown and earnings threshold for Elite and Elite Plus status, it's changed from what was originally linked in the "Terms are Changing" email. My benefits are still showing on the site for new orders too.

And the thread of everyone complaining about the change has been deleted. Lol.
