I recently noticed that I purchased an Apple Watch and received no points. When I called customer service, I was told that all Apple products are excluded unless purchased with a Best Buy credit card. I do not feel this is a fair policy for many reasons. I feel that Reward Members should be told that Apple Products are excluded during purchase or a sign should be posted near the products or at checkout stating the exclusion.

Greetings, Zinnia, and welcome to the Best Buy forum,
As you will notice by reading over our prior responses in this thread, the change in-question with regards to the purchase of Apple products went into place a little over six months ago. The Program Terms were updated back in October when the change went into place, and we also sent an email notification to members confirming the change. If points are to be awarded for the purchase of an Apple product, then a My Best Buy™ credit card would need to be used with standard financing. Those purchases could result in 5% back in points for most members and 6% back for our Elite Plus members.

I want to publicly complain and let Best Buy know I am taking my company's business elsewhere for Apple devices. We outfit every employee with a MacBook Air or MacBook Pro depending on their job. They also get a 27" or larger monitor, Apple keyboard, mouse, and Apple Care. It is anywhere from $3,000 to $8,000 per employee. After doing this for 6 new employees I was surprised to not see an increase in points. Then I found these forums.
We will be ordering all of our office products from B&H or Apple directly from this day forward. I'm canceling the personal MBP I just purchased for myself from Best Buy. We are hiring another 10 employees next month and have big expansion plans. Points were the only thing differentiating Best Buy.
And I prefer our AMEX to the Best Buy card.
