Cardmember Appreciation Offer - $25 dollar gift card issues

I was recently sent a promotion for 'Cardmember Appreciation Month' -- Get a $25 Best Buy Gift Card when you spend $250 at Best Buy.  The coupon was valid March 31- April 6.

 

So today April 6, 2019, I went into the Bestbuy Store to purchase some Sony Headphones for $350 dollars in hopes to get the $25 gift card from the Cardmember Offer. As I was about to check out, there was an issue with the barcode/promotion that was in the email. The cashier that was helping me was trying to apply the promotion code to my transaction but would not work. He followed all instructions that are given and nothing seemed to work. We called over the manager and the same thing happened. They told us to give customer service a call, which we did. We were on the phone for about 15 minutes, as soon as my cashier got ahold of someone they told him that the system was down and that that was the reason the code may have not been working. I went ahead and purchased the headphones in hopes to see if there is a way to resolve this issue, if not the only option I have is to, unfortunately, return the product. This is not the first time where I have had a "Cardmember" promotion and it not go through which is unfortunate. Is there any way that we can look into this, and maybe fix for future promotions.

As a My Best Buy Credit Card holder myself, I totally understand how nice those promotions can be. Sorry to hear that you had some issues using one of them!

That's my question too! I haven't seen any other offers come in my email. If it's an Appreciation Month why did we only get an offer good for 1 week??
