I've seen a lot of posts like this, and I am currently running into the same issue, I've bought stuff in the past, and used my phone number for reciepts, but don't have an account, now I want to make an account and it is throwing errors. I've tried forgot my password, nothing. It just says there's something wrong with my input in the create account page, doesn't work when trying through google either.
All the responses I've seen have just been, private message me and I'll take care of it, so I figured I'd post here.

With the option to checkout as guest checkout, logging into an account isn't a necessity; however, if you're a member of our rewards program, then you would need to a BestBuy.com account in-order to access any points or certificates that might be available. It can also help you to keep track of purchases you make, as long as they are attached to your rewards account.
Have you ever had a BestBuy.com account with us? If so, then that could potentially prevent you from being able to create a new account. Even if a prior account is no longer active, our system may recognize that the email address you're trying to use is already being used.
