Cannot create account

I went to BestBuy store last month and bought a laptop here. I left my email and name. After a few days, I got an email about my reward certificate. But when I tried to create my online account through the URL in the email. It said "Oops! Something went wrong while trying to create your account. Please try again." I tried much time and cleared the cache but it didn't work……

Welcome to the Best Buy Community forums. Thanks for reaching out to us about this. I know how frustrating it can be when an error pops up after following instructions.


In many cases, that error comes up when an account already exists under that email address or phone number. First, you'll want to try to see if you can select "Forgot your password? Reset it" on our sign-in page. Enter your email address, and see if you are able to.


If that doesn't work, try to re-register using that email address but a different phone number, if you have one.


If you still can't create or log in to an account, please let me know.
