That bonus certificate is tied to a specific rewards account, and if that specific rewards account is not properly linked to a BestBuy.com account, then errors will be encountered.
That could mean you have more than one rewards account and a merge is needed, or perhaps another member, maybe even a family member, has the same email address tied to their rewards account, which is why you inadvertently received the email.
