Bonus Reward Certificate

i received an email on the email address i have on my Best Buy Rewards account with a bonus $10 reward certificate and a link to activate the certificate. When i open the link it opens up my Best Buy app and i get a message saying i’m not eligible for this certificate. i have two $5 certificates on my account that i earned through points that have nothing to do with this bonus certificate. This is a separate promotion that was sent to me but apparently there’s a glitch where the certificate can’t be applied to my account. i am able to print out the certificate and it has its own code and everything and it shows my name and rewards account number on it but i rather order online though if possible.

Re: Bonus Reward Certificate

Hi, FurukawaXlV,

Thank you for taking the time to reconnect with us on the forum. Smiley Happy

Sometimes the smallest things in life can be the most rewarding, and a free bonus certificate could definitely fit that bill.  It sounds like you may have received an email for one of the "Thank you" bonus certificates that we send to a random selection of members each month.  That bonus certificate is tied to a specific rewards account, and if that specific rewards account is not properly linked to a account, then errors will be encountered.

That could mean you have more than one rewards account and a merge is needed, or perhaps another member, maybe even a family member, has the same email address tied to their rewards account, which is why you inadvertently received the email.  I cannot say with 100% certainty until I take a closer look at the rewards account.  So, please send me a private message with the details below, by clicking on the blue button in my signature, and I will see what I can do to help.
