BestBuy Rewards Promotion

So my Best Buy credit card had a promotion in August if you made (5) $25 or more purchases outside of Best By, you'd get a $50 rewards certificate.  I did and never saw any confirmation that I got any certificate.  I called the BestBuy rewards and was told that I had been sent the reward via email and that it had expired on October 7, 2018.  I never saw the email as it went to the junk folder.  Usually, I used to get rewards in my credit card statement but didn't see anything.  I called BestBuy rewards and they refused to reissue me the certificate even though I never saw the email.  Very dissapointed in the customer service I recieved and unfair as I never saw the reward and it expired 30 days after it was sent - 4 days after it expired I learned it had been sent.  So even though I fullfilled my end of the promotion I am out $50.

Thank you for being not only a My Best Buy member, but a My Best Buy Visa cardholder. As a Visa cardholder, we have many offers for our customers to receive even more rewards! I'm glad to hear you participated in one in August, which sounds like our Shop Five Times for $50 offer. 

Such offers are typically fulfilled within a month or so, via your My Best Buy membership, not your credit card account. While we send emails out when certificates are issued, we do suggest managing your rewards from as emails may be blocked, missed, or filtered as you experienced. 

It is not uncommon for promotional certificates to be valid for a shorter period of time than our regular certificates that usually expire after 60 days. Once a certificate expires though, we're usually unable to reissue it. For more information, you may wish to check out the post below or our My Best Buy Terms
