My wife recently upgraded to the iPhone XS and has absolutely fallen in love with the camera. It feels as if she is taking pictures left and right. I hope you are enjoying your new phone just as much! Did you have an active rewards account prior to the purchase or are you brand new to the program? We could be looking at a merge situation if you already had a rewards account and the cashier created another one. If the purchase was properly attached to a rewards account, then an ID # should be displayed on the receipt towards the lower half.
There is a tool on BestBuy.com that allows members to report purchases as "missing" that may not have been attached to their rewards account. I have used the handy tool on several occasions to report my own purchases. You should have no problem reporting your purchase if it is not more than 180 days old, not already attached to another rewards account, and was not processed prior to enrolling in the My Best Buy™ program. It can generally take up to 20 days after an eligible purchase has been reported as missing for points to officially post.
With that having been said, I would strongly encourage you to try reporting your purchase if you have not already.
