Best Buy Rewards

No wonder Amazon is taking over. Purchased laptop in June. Got cc to get Rewards. Got a TV in December. I asked the checkout person if my reward credit would cover $600 plus dollars of it. He said yes. Rcvd billing statement for full price. Called they said pts expired but said they'd reinstate. It never happened. Late charges on my card. Several frustrating calls. Finally gave up and ended up paying more then if I just paid upfront. Nice people but no service or help.. awful experience. Effected my credit

Thank you for registering with the forum. Purchasing a laptop last summer to receive the 10% back in rewards would be exciting! I hope you've enjoyed the laptop since then. With that said, it sounds like there may have been some confusion around how much in rewards you had, as well as where you see these rewards. 

The 10% back in rewards is credited not on your Best Buy Credit Card that was issued through Citibank, but through our My Best Buy membership which you may view when signed into a BestBuy.com profile that has the appropriate membership linked. Our My Best Buy Terms advise that certificates typically have 60 days to be redeemed once issued, unless otherwise noted. Once expired, we’re generally unable to reissue them. We do our best to make our customers aware a certificate has been issued, as we send out email notifications that include the expiration date. As emails may be filtered, overlooked, or even blocked though, we recommend members manage their rewards from BestBuy.com, where certificates can be viewed as well.
