Best Buy Rewards

Has anyone experienced difficulty in receiving a rewards certificate?  Last summer I received an email stating if I used my Best Buy credit card for 5 purchases outside Best Buy for a minimum purchase of $20, I would receive a Best Buy reward certificate for $50.  I did so last July yet failed to receive the reward.  I called in December, was given a reward certificate # after being bounced around to three different departments & on the phone for 45 minutes.  I called back again this month & was once again given the run-around.  Ultimately they said my claim was denied.  I never received notice this was the case until I called again.  I realize it is only $50, but I invested far too much time to simply give up my quest to get what I am owed.  I write here to see if anyone else experienced this.  Plus I am now severing all ties in purchasing from Best Buy.  The effort I spent to be stymied at ever turn is ending my relationship with Best Buy.  There are other places that will gladly accept my money.  I have always had great Customer Care in the store when buying a computer, TV, dishwashers and Sonos speaker but there should be consistent Customer Care Standards. Crazy the loss of my future business for a mere $50.  so long Best Buy!!  Bruce {removed per forum guidelines}
