Best Buy Rewards issue

So I was trying to buy movie.  When I add it to my cart it automatically applies rewards discount.  Which I had for $5.  However it was already redeemed from a previous purchase.  But for some reason the balance hasn't been updated.  And now I can't finish my purchase because the app keeps applying the Rewards certificate and then gives an error saying it was already redeemed. 

 

I've tried reinstalling the app, clearing the cache, none of that worked.  I'm on Iphone with the latest version installed.  As well as the latest version of Best Buy app.  Any suggestions help?  Chat support did not help at all.

Also, there doesn't seem to be the option to remove the reward discount. I am aware if you click apply reward you can remove it. But that option doesn't seem to be there as it's being automatically applied. And since it still shows i have a balance of $5 I can add on top of the existing discount causing it to show $10. That I can remove. But then I'm back to square 1 of this automatically applied $5.

I’ll be happy to take a closer look into this matter and offer any additional assistance I can, however, I’m hoping you can provide me with a few pieces of additional information before I’m able to do so.  If you could use the blue “Private Message” button in my signature to send me:

 

  • Your first and last name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Your order number

 

This should be enough for me to begin my research, and hopefully get you the assistance you’re looking for.

This is still happening.  I cannot purchase anything from the Best Buy app because this $5 discount keeps automatically getting applied to the shopping cart.  Is there no way to just clear my accounts Reward certificates?
