I would like to describe my day today at best buy. This incident happened with me today and I lost my $25 reward certificate and more importantly my precious office time.
I did a order {removed per forum guidelines} on best buy and used following rewards certificates:

Out of these certificates, $25 was an offer I got by spending my best buy card outside best buy. Somehow I didn't like the webcam and decided to return it same day but I was little concerned about the this $25 certificate because one of my friend told me that these types of rewards will not be refunded.
Anyways these are the events that occurred afterwards:
1. I went to the Cranberry Township, PA store to return the item.
2. But before returning I asked the customer care representative that the $25 dollar certificate which I got as an offer will be issued back or not. If not then I would have kept the item since I don't wanted to loose the $25 value.
3. The representative assured me that I'll get the $25 certificate back and that he can see that information on the screen.
4. I went ahead and returned the item and I received an return receipt on my email but it only mentioned $45 in rewards back.
5. I immediately showed that email to the representative and he again assured me that I'll get the certificate back and told me to call 1-888-237-8289 if I didn't get the certificate back.
6. Now when the rewards were refunded I only got $45 back in my account.
7. I called the 1-888-237-8289 at around 3:30 PM EST and I got connected to a representative. She kept me on hold for 1 hour and again assured me that she is getting my account verified and that I will get the certificate back in my account.
8. After about 1 hour my call suddenly gets connected to someone else. That person did not have any clue why I got connected. he said that he will issue something for my trouble but then my call disconnected.
9. After about some times I again called and provided all the information to a representative. Again an 1 hour call.
10. She then connected me to rewards teams and representative told me that these kind of rewards cannot be refunded and I should go talk to the manager in the store where I got the wrong information.
Now I wasted time in the store where I got the wrong information. Then spent almost 3 hour on call and I'm again back to square one. I can't go to store specifically for this and waste more time.
This is the first time I have faced such a bad service from Best Buy. I always had best experience at best buy but I guess things are changing and I should be more cautious when I do shopping at best buy again.
If you can please refund my $25 certificate back.
