Auto Issued Certificates and Lost $55



I have been a long time customer and was an elite plus member for several years. I did not realize that I had lost my elite plus staus and that all the points I had been banking where auto issued. I often get e-mails encouraging me to issue my certifcates so I thought that was what the e-mail was. If I had realized that I had the $55 worth of certificates I would have spent them. I believe they expired by like a day or so. 


I know it's a longshot but I have to try. $55 is a lot to lose when I have been banking them for over two years. Is there anyway to extend it by like a day so I can quickly spend them? I have been a loyal customer for a long time and have always enjoyed my experiences with Best Buy.

Thank you for being a My Best Buy member! Finding you’ve had a My Best Buy reward certificate expire would be most frustrating, especially if you've also learned your Elite Plus status expired. Tier statuses typically expire at the end of February for those memberships that haven't met the required tier spending to maintain their statuses. As point banking is not a benefit extended to our core members, any banked points are converted to certificates at that time. For more details on tier expiration, you may review the post below.

Our My Best Buy Terms advise that certificates typically have 60 days to be redeemed, unless otherwise noted. Once expired, we’re generally unable to reissue them. We do our best to make our customers aware a certificate has been issued, as we send out email notifications that include the expiration date. As emails may be filtered, overlooked, or even blocked though, we recommend members manage their rewards from, where certificates can be viewed as well.
