Apple Spending Question

Quick question - I know as of last year, Apple products no longer earn rewards points unless purchased on the Best Buy Credit Card. Do the amounts of those products still count towards our spending requirement for elite statuts though, even without using a Best Buy Credit Card?

Thanks for clarifying!

Re: Apple Spending Question

Greetings, Alex, and welcome to the Best Buy forum,

Great question, and the answer is yes!  The purchase of Apple products with a non-My Best Buy™ credit card, debit card, cash, or check would still count towards qualifying for Elite and Elite Plus status.  It is basically as if you did use a My Best Buy™ credit card but selected promotional financing over standard financing.  While points aren't awarded with the use of a promotional financing offer, the purchase would still count towards qualifying for a higher tier status.  Let us know if you have any other questions.
