Thing is about my bestbuy reward expired. I was going to buy something last year, and one of the store employee asked me to apply a bestbuy credit card, it would come with huge reward because I bought an expensive item, I partically ask the expire issue, and he said it would never expire like other credit card points. Apprently I was deeply lied at that moment, I finally plan to use my reward, and found it was expired long gone.
I am wondering if anyone can help me with this.

Hi there LeonYan,
Welcome to the forum and thank you for reaching out to us regarding your expired certificates! Finding you’ve had a My Best Buy reward certificate expire would be most frustrating, especially if you were unaware of their ability to expire. I know if I let one slip by me, I feel like it’s quite the missed opportunity.
While My Best Buy reward points don't expire, our My Best Buy Terms advise that certificates (which you redeem points for) typically have 60 days to be redeemed, unless otherwise noted. I imagine this is where any potential confusion came into play. Once expired, we’re generally unable to reissue them.
We do our best to make our customers aware a certificate has been issued, as we send out email notifications that include the expiration date. As emails may be filtered, overlooked, or even blocked though, we recommend members manage their rewards from BestBuy.com, where certificates can be viewed as well. For more details, you may view the article below.
Please know that if your reward certificates expired, we would be unable to reissue them at this time. I understand this may not be the news you were hoping for, but hope it helps clarify what you can expect from our program. If you should have any questions, please feel welcome to send me a private message.

I am ware your rules now, but the truth is that I did not issue any certificate, it looks like generated automatically.
Mostly, I doulbe checked with saleman that if it will be expired, and he told me it won't and I can use it as normal credit card points.
I understand your rules, but I do not think I will hold the full resposiblilty, only if you think Lie is OK when persuade people to assign a bestbuy credit card. And to be honest, if I missed the deadline by myself, it is totally my fault, I would not blame anyone, the truth is I never though anything about deadline or expire the whole time, becuase I trusted BestBuy, you can check my records, I still purchsed stuff all the time being. I feel I am a victim too. Just please do not tell me this expire rules anymore, if I was told at the first time, I would never expire. If I give you $300 to use in one month, will you forget it?
To be honest, I usually like Bestbuy better than other electronic seller, because it has local store, and I spent quite a lot of time there, and also spend over thousand dollars every year. Just ironicly I was just hurt by this local store.

Hi there LeonYan,
As a default setting, certificates are automatically issued once you reach your minimum certificate preference which may be adjusted by logging into BestBuy.com. This would be why your certificates were automatically issued.
Once Elite or Elite Plus status is reached, you receive the optional benefit of banking your points, preventing certificates from being automatically issued. However, this preference must be selected by logging into BestBuy.com after the tier status is reached.
We greatly appreciate you reaching out to share your experience with us. Please feel welcome to send me a private message should you have any other concerns.

And yes, the certificate is blocked in my email, but still the point is that I was told it would never expire, just like my other credit card points. I am just so curisous why BestBuy is so possessed to time length over humainity. You can check my record, I never used those certificate during this time being, and I never asked a extension before, apprently I have other reasons there which turns out to be a Lie, I did not lie to BestBuy for benefit, I just try to get something I thought belong to me. I just do not know what BestBuy will lose? Maybe I am just too naive.

Hi there LeonYan,
As I mentioned, we recommend that My Best Buy memberships be managed from BestBuy.com, as we cannot control if emails are blocked or filtered to other folders, such as your spam. This helps ensure you don't miss any points or certificates you may be awarded.
We greatly appreciate you reaching out to share your experience with us. As I also mentioned, please feel welcome to send any other concerns via private message.
