Another Rewards Points Screw Up

Why have a weekly promotion to give 10% on your next purchase, then not give the 10%?  I clicked the link in the email to activate the promotion, made the puchase (that appaears to qualify based on the FAQ) with my Best Buy card, the rewards have been given, but it is only the usual 5%.  How hard is it to calculate 10% correctly?

Oftentimes, bonus points don't appear as pending points and will be available to use 20 days after your purchase is completed. How long ago did you make this purchase? Can you please provide some more details about this promotion? It's possible that this specific promotion may have a slightly longer processing time.

The purchase was on 4/14/21 (order {removed per forum guidelines}) and the points are no longer pending, they just only amount to 5%, instead of 10%.  It has been 17 days, but I see no indication that any more points are pending on this purchase.  The promotion was from a 'Cardmember Appreciation' email, and the offer was valid from April 11-17. '10% back in rewards on any single purchase at Best Buy with your My Best Buy Credit Card'.

Thank you for following up with me and providing some more details. I had to remove some information from that post as it contained private information.

 

Now that I've been able to identify this promotion, I do see it can take up to five weeks for these bonus points to be available in your account. Since this promotion ended on April 17 there is still some time for these to process.

I've used these types of promotions in the past, and when they've worked, all points have always posted at the same time, regardless of the fine print disclaimer in the email.  I guess I'll give it another 2 1/2 weeks and follow up if they still haven't been credited.
