$10 bonus certificate not eligible

Hi all, reaching out because I have a $10 bonus certificate included in an email that was sent to me on Dec 2. The certificate says it is valid from 11/29/20-12/6/20. When I click "click to activate" it brings me to bestbuy.com but says,         "We're Sorry

 It looks like you're not eligible to use this reward."
That is all it says on the screen. I called Best Buy customer support and was told that I cannot use it because the system won't let me. That is all the information I was told. Im wondering now was I mistakenly issued this reward by an automatic system? I wanted to use it today on a purchase. I have been using some bonus certificates within the past 2 months with no problem, but just encountered this issue today and would appreciate some assistance or answers why it will not work please. Thanks!!

I just tried it without being already signed in to My Best Buy and the certificate showed up. It reads, "This reward is in your {removed per forum guidelines} and ready to use. But don’t wait too long! It’s valid for a limited time." I then sign in with that link and the certificate is not appearing under Reward Certificates and also not in checkout. The coupon only appears when I am not signed in to My Best Buy and click the email link to activate it. It generates a barcode that I could print, but the certificate is not showing in my account. thank you

Welcome to our community forums. Getting a bonus certificate is always a nice surprise and I'm sure you're eager to use this. It does sound a bit odd that you're receiving this error and I'd like to see how I can best assist you with this.

 

I'd like to take a look at your My Best Buy account to get a better understand of what's going on. I will need to collect a few more details to do so and will be sending you a private message.
