Can I trade in multiple items and combine the values to buy a new item at Best Buy?

Here is the current promo rules

Our in-store Trade-In Program is intended for the convenience of our retail customers and is not designed to handle large volume or commercial transactions.

Customers are limited to no more than three (3) of the same product per day, except as noted below.* Customers interested in trading units in excess of this limit should contact Customer Service at tradein@bestbuy.com for a custom quote.

Video games

Limit three (3) copies of the same title and platform in a 12-month period. For example, three (3) copies of Madden for Xbox or Playstation.

Cell phones

Limit five (5) cell phones of the same model in a 12-month period.

All other products

Limit three (3) items of the same model in a 12-month period.

*We reserve the right to refuse any trade-in or limit quantities for any reason. These product limits are subject to change at any time. Please note that there may be additional product limits associated with promotions.

One thing I wanted to add is that many states are going into possible lockdown and tighter store restrictions so out of respect for COVID 19 safety protocols the trade in program can be discontinued at any time temporarily for these reasons.

Do you happen to know whether a customer can trade in multiple items and use the accumulated values to buy one item at Best Buy? I have a couple of older generation iPads, and I'd like to trade them in for a latest one. Some other stores only allow you to trade in one item for a new one.

You need to contact your local store to see if they are even taking trade ins during covid....

I went to my local Best Buy with 3 items for trade-in. And, they do still accept trade-ins at the store. Their cashiers now have to do not only check-out but also customer services and trade-in. The girl helping me took all the items and explained to me that the gift cards I received for the trade-ins are just regular gift cards. Therefore, I can combine them to purchase whatever I like at Best Buy.
