I purchased some items on best buy using the 12 to  24 months no interest on 2 occassions 2 years  years ago. I missed to pay off the balance for the first purchase before the deal ended  because I lost track of the expiration date, then when I called a few days later to pay off the balance , the customer service was able to reverse the interest charge. Then I forgot again the expiration date( 3/4/2018) of the 2nd item that I pruchased using the 18 months no interest fee and I just found it today( 3/11/18). I would like to pay off my oustanding balance today  , but the Cititbank would not help me reverse or at least lessen the Interest charge for the 2nd purchase that I had on a 12 month interest free promotion. my oustanding balance is around $800 while the accumulated interest charge is around $1,100. I would need some help about who to contact to other than the management from citibank regarding lowering the accrued interest charges that I incurred or reverse if possible.It just hurts me to pay the Interest charge when It  is way Higher than my actual balance. I enjoy shopping at best buy and I would like to continue as one of your customers if my concerns are addressed. Thank you.

Having an unexpected interest charge show up in your monthly statement can be appalling. I’ve experienced it myself numerous times, because I can be forgetful. I’ve had to pay the price, so I’m going to do my best to find a different outcome for you.


First and foremost, I should mention that our MyBest Buy Credit Card are managed solely by Citibank, N.A., and they have their own Terms & Conditions. Unfortunately this takes a lot of control out of my hands. However, what I can do for you, is reach out to Citibank’s customer care personally to obtain some clarification on the matter and possibly have them take care of this for you.
