"Not provided" warranties for Hisense 55-inch u8h tv (sku 6511973). Warranty of New vs open-box?

How to get in writing exact warranties for the following Hisense 55-inch u8h series tv?

I find conflicting information. For example, as of 2023-03/17, the above website has *only* these 2 lines, at bottom of specifications, in Warranty section:

 

Manufacturer's Warranty - Parts:  Not provided

Manufacturer's Warranty - Labor:  Not provided

 

Elsewhere on internet and this forum I see mention of 2-year manufacturer's warranty for Hisense u8h serries 55-inch and bigger 2022 tvs. I have a request into Hisense to provide details of warranties, if any, for Hisense u8h 55-inch tv bought in person today (2023-03-17) at BestBuy store in North Carolina, USA, both for a new tv, and an openbox. 

 

I could not find, for this tv in particular, nor in general, what kind of warranties to excpect from BestBuy for open-box items versus new? I am interested mostly in the manufacturer's warranties, not the extra-cost warranties optionally available from Bestbuy.

 

I wish bestbuy would provide such clear un-ambiguous info on website for info on warranties, as well as other info like the stand-width dimensions for big flat-screen tvs. The costco website does a much better job of all these kinds of info for flat screen tvs.

I certainly understand wanting to know what kind of warranty coverage a product comes with before buying it, as well as the difference between buying a new product, and an open-box product. Based on the specifications on our website that you shared, I can definitely see how this would be confusing to see no warranty listed for this TV. 

 

As the information for products on our website typically comes from the manufacturer, we can occasionally miss things based on the way they're provided by them, which it looks like we've done here. I can confirm that this TV does come with a 2-Year Manufacturer's Warranty from Hisense. You can find this by viewing the "Specification Sheet" under the Manuals and Guides section of the product page on our website, as well as through HIsense directly as you mentioned. In regards to open-box products, they also will carry a full manufacturer's warranty, so an open-box unit of this TV would also have that 2-Year warranty.

Thanks for quick reply and your confirming " that this TV does come with a 2-Year Manufacturer's Warranty from Hisense. "  I will try to verify with Hisense that this 2 year warranty applies to the particular model of 55U8H sold directly by Best Buy. (That is because I've read about manufacturers providing different models to different retailers with different warranties.)  i shortly expect to mark this issue as solfved as soon as I get warranty info directly from Hisense support.

 

As you mentioned, the spec-sheet from Hisense for the 55U8H tv does specify a 2-year warranty:

(I could not find on the hisense website any copy of the actual written warranty for USA hisense tvs, but google found this 3-page 2013 document titled "Limited Warranty for Hisense"

Looks legit, but it is peculiar that I find no document like this on the hisense website. I also see no similar document of what is covered by the Hisense extended warranty that they try to sell. 

 

BTW, When I called the store, they said that their computer system said the warranties were "Not specified". So, both the internal BB systems and the website do not seem to be picking up correct warranty info from your Hisense sources.

No problem! I certainly do understand it would be concerning as well to hear from the store that they couldn't find the warranty information. I can confirm that our systems show a 730 day, or 2-Year coverage on that specific model and SKU.
