"Excellent" condition open-box TV was actually "Pathetic"

I ordered a open box 55 inch Vizio smart 4K TV today and went to pick-up from the store which was 45 miles from where I live. I opted for the open box TV because it was tagged as excellent condition and given my past experience with best Buy I did not have to think much.

It did not have the originial box which was acceptable; it was wrapped in the bubble wrap. While leaving the store I was told by the customer representative that the TV stand and other accesories should be in the packing. But when I opened the packing at home, I was shocked to find only the power cord along with TV. There wasaboslutely nothing else, not even the remote.

I tried to call the store but could not speak to any representative as no one responeded. So contacted the Best Buy customer care helpline. The executive over phone tried her best to help me out but it all boiled down to me contacting the store manager and get it sorted. If the additional essential accessories are not delivered to me at my home address or are to be picked up from the store near me, I would like to return the TV but do not want to travel all the way to the store from where I picked up as the to and fro drive is more than 2 hours.

The "Excellent" condition open-box item posted online was misleading now I have to go through lot of stress to get this  fixed. I expect some courtesy from Buy Buy to understand the situation and make it less stressful for me. This has been an absolutely a Worst-Buy for me yet.

I am going to reach out to the store leaders at the Elyria Best Buy and ask that they contact you to resolve this and get you those missing accessories. Is it okay if they reach you at the phone number you've provided?

Finally I was delighted! Really appreciate your support and efforts here Meg. Also, would like to specially thank Mahmood (Elyria store leader) to provide me a solution that made me happy and was trouble free.

 

Best Buy showed its best colors finally! Thanks for getting this fixed!
