I recently won a case of disputed charges with Paypal and the kind customer service rep graciously gave me $50 as a courtesy credit that can be used on eligible purchases when checking out with Paypal.
So I went to bestbuy to buy a headset that was on sale that I've been meaning to get and it was a little over the credit limit, but I assumed that it would let me purchase it because I thought that if I lacked sufficient funds it would use some funds from my bank account because I linked my debit card.
So after I managed to purchase it, I then immediately get an email saying my purchase could not be processed and that I had to update my payment. So I had the order canceled and I didn't end up spending anything. The total was around $53.49, so I was $3.49 in the red, but because it wasn't processed I didn't get a refund which is okay. But I'm looking at my Paypal courtesy credit and it says that it's 64% claimed and is no longer automatically applied despite being checked for automatically applying to eligible purchases.
I'm trying to buy the same product again after I added money into my account, and the email I got from bestbuy confirming my cancellation of the order said that they would refund it now. So does bestbuy refund that credit or can I get some sort of store credit so I don't have to pay the full $50 price.
*I never used the courtesy credit for anything else, this headset is the only thing I spent my credit on so I don't know why it's 64% claimed.*

Hello, Cloutosis, and welcome to our online community!
Thank you for posting on our forum for support. I'm sure you were looking forward to using that PayPal credit you received, and I hate to hear about the issue you've now run into when trying to use that towards a Best Buy purchase. I'm happy to do what I can to help.
It sounds like your order was cancelled since you attempted to combine PayPal and a credit/debit card on a purchase. Our payment option page outlines how this is not permittable on an online purchase. I'd like the chance to now look into how that order is being refunded on our end and assist.
To start, please send me a private message including your full name, email, phone number, and cancelled order number. You can find the blue option to message me to the right of my name below.
All the best,
