Where's my refund?

I tried to buy my son a 1tb external drive for his bday. 1st issue is it came late, AFTER his bday, but ok, it happens. When we opened it I quickly realized it was a 500gb internal drive that wasn't even the same brand as what I ordered. I returned it quickly and still in it's original packaging UNOPENED. My return was received on 12/29/21 and I contacted them a couple weeks later b/c I never received another email stating it was processed yet. The rep assured me it was currently processing. Weeks later and I still haven't received a refund or an explanation as to why it's taking so long. These things aren't cheap and I can't afford to buy another one until I'm refunded and my son is still waiting for his bday present. I would think that since the mistake was made by them they would have offered to send the correct item or at least put a rush on my refund instead of dragging it out like this!
