We had to place our Best Buy gift card on HOLD in November 2021. It was a $500 card that was purchased, as we were vicitms of a scam. We realized we were part of the scam, called Best Buy and were able to save $400.01 by locking the card down immiediately, by placing it on hold, so the scammer could not shop anymore. This worked incrediblly well! We felt protected by Best Buy at this stage.
However, we have been unsucessful in trying to get access to these funds now. Best Buy said they would send us a replaplacement card twice, but it never comes. I was on the phone with them for an hour just now, and they said I need to go to the CVS where we bought the card, and then call them from the CVS store, and then put them on the phone with the CVS employee to "resolve" this with them on the phone. Each time I call Best Buy Corporate number 612-291-1000 I get transfered to another country and the people working there just make up excuses and then try to get me off the phone. We already tried to get a refund form CVS back in Novemeber, they said it was non-refundable, and to contact Best Buy. Best Buy refuses to let me speak to a supervisor, and kept giving me case numbers which don't amount to a resolution, just more wasted time trying to get them to send me a replacement gift card, that never comes.
Can you please send me the gift card? We just want this to be over and done with, and no more lies please. - Thank you in advance.
